About me!I am a hard-of-hearing/Deaf artist living in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
I scraped and clawed my way to a BFA in Fine Arts - Illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology in Upstate New York, and I loved every minute of it. I tend to work in a variety of mediums rather than limiting myself to a single one. Teaching myself photoshop and digital painting is the flavor of the recent years. I lean into fantasy art featuring anthropomorphic animals and nature, taking the imagination to another world. Some of my ABSOLUTE favorite/inspirational artists are painters like James Gurney, Michael Whalen, and Yoshitaka Amano. If you don't know them, check them out! I've loved their work for a long time and they've always been inspiration for me to continue my journey! Why the weird name? Well, I came up with that years and years ago and it has stuck with me ever since as a sort of "pen name" but for art. A lot of people recognize my work under this name so I've stuck with it because of that and it makes it very easy to find me in an internet search, I like it! My actual name is Amber Hall and sometimes I'll sign my pieces AJH as well as Luci, but I know a few Hall's in the same realm of art that I do and it can get confusing. There's even another Amber in those artists. |
